Antique Victorian banded agate locket back pendant 9 carat gold

A charming piece, dating to the Victorian era. The agate is attached to the locket back panel and so the entire centre section can be removed by carefully lifting it from the reverse. It is not loose and will not come out accidentally. I cannot open the locket panel so if you wanted to add something this would need to be done by a bench goldsmith. There are some small dinks to the border, but otherwise lovely condition.
