A sweet pendant, made from a component of a much larger piece, perhaps a necklace?

It features 5 flat cut garnets, 4 round and a central teardrop shape, all held in closed back cut down collet settings and foiled. It is in excellent condition with only minor wear commensurate with age, nothing of note.
