At the centre of this star is a glorious, chunky old mine cut diamond. It has a slightly wonky organic appearance, that we love, with plenty of character and an open culet. The setting has a closed back and it has a slightly warm tone. There is a small, surface reaching inclusion at the bottom of the table facet.
 
Radiating out from the diamond, set into 8 points, are 16 natural creamy toned split pearls.
 
In very good antique condition, the gold has a wonderful buttery yellow tone!
