A very striking antique emerald 5 stone ring, with five well matched natural emerald gemstones.
It dates to the later Victorian era by design, C.1890. In excellent antique condition, the setting is very pretty with a foliate engraved band that has a plain area at the back where it could be resized.
There is general surface wear to all of the gemstones, including scratches and wear to the facet edges and two of the emeralds are chipped. This is not unusual to see in antique Emerald rings, being a softer gemstone they are easily damaged, it has clearly been worn and loved in its past life. We considered replacing the chipped gemstones, but the colour match is so good, I think it would be more obvious if we changed them.
