Another offering created from a brooch using only the original bar metal to make the ring you see. It still carries the original metal purity marks and has a clever knife edge shoulder design taken from the original deco shaping.
The 2mm wide ring shank is 15ct Gold that is topped with platinum as you can see from the side profile. The triple claws that hold the Opal are 15ct yellow gold, whilst the central diamond is held in platinum.
The Opal is exquisite displaying every colour of the rainbow in little and large flecks over a white base. There is one patch of the opal that shows a very faint internal inclusion but you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it, possibly created when the Diamond was set into the gemstone, a risky and fiddly job! The old cut diamond is bright and lively. A totally unique ring, not to be missed!
