The perfect marriage of two antique pieces, both in need of saving. 
A Victorian era diamond star, taken from a piece with a cracked garnet that I had been looking at for ages, wondering what to do, until the lightbulb moment I thought, let's mount it on this 15ct gold cufflink! 
The cufflink is fully hallmarked and dated 1915 and the eyelet and jump ring have been handmade from 15ct gold from the back portion of the cufflinks.
The central pearl shaped old cut diamond in the star is EVERYTHING. It is bright and just so hard to capture it's beauty in a photo! 
There is minor surface wear to the cufflink, in line with it's age. The whole piece has a warm peachy tone.
