We all love receiving flowers, but isn't it so much better when they last longer than a week?! This is an early piece, that I suspect started as a mourning pin, with a glass panel at its centre. In it's history (during the Victorian era) someone has replaced that panel with a foiled moonstone, which is held in place by silver claws. There is some evidence of lead solder from this, although nothing that touches the skin. There is some wear to the foil at the back of the moonstone also, please see the photos.
