A fine snake fob seal pendant, set with a carnelian gemstone. The inscription reads 'This' with an image of an envelope or letter and then 'INV' which is either initials or could be short for invitation, making it a sort of rebus?
There is a snake coiled around the fob with some sweet engraved detail and the whole piece is in excellent antique condition.
