A superb pair of mid Victorian, juicy garnet drop earrings. Each earring features a rectangular garnet at the top, from which is suspended an oval shaped garnet below. The gemstones are held in cut down collet settings and are open back, to allow the gorgeous, velvety raspberry hues of the garnets to shine.
 
They are marked 15c to the reverse of each earrings and have fixed hooks at the top, secure and comfortable to wear. They are in very good antique condition, with just very minor wear, particularly a fine surface scratch to one oval garnet. One connecting eyelet (between the two garnets on one earring) needs replacing and will be done before shipping.
