A stunning rare bullseye banded agate buckle ring, with a memorial inscription dated for 1868. Beautifully made, with engraved foliate panels all around the band.
 
The ring is in very good antique condition with only minor wear. A lovely example of this type of ring, getting harder to find in such good condition!
 
It has a full hallmark for the chester assay office, dated 1880, so maybe it was purchased and engraved at a later date, once her sister had saved up to buy it?
