A lovely antique puffed cable link chain! It is a yellow toned gold, tested for 9 carat gold and with a dog clip clasp closure, the outstanding feature is the all-over patterned link design.
 
There is a single jump ring link in the chain, where I suspect a T-bar once hung from. The whole piece is in very good antique condition, with just minor signs of age appropriate wear. On this type of chain to achieve the 'puffy' look there are little gold 'guard' links inside the big links, which stop them rubbing against each other at the touch points. A few of the links are now missing these little internal guard links. Its not something that really shows externally, but a few of the links now touch at the joins. Overall, an excellent, unusual chain.
