Victorian era fabulous diamond set crescent brooch in its original condition. Set in 15 carat yellow gold, this stunning piece has been checked and is also marked 15C. The brooch is the rich buttery yellow colour of high carat gold.
This is a beautifully made high quality piece that dates back to the mid Victorian era of 1850-60 when celestial themed pieces were very popular. They were often given as wedding gifts and signified new beginnings with the crescent moon.
The condition is excellent antique and the clasp is a hinge pin and C clasp style with a safety chain.
