A gorgeous and meaningful mid Victorian era, swallow brooch.
The swallow is a very romantic symbol as they are known to be faithful and mate for life, always returning home from their travels. Often given as a symbol of fidelity in the Victorian language of symbols.
This could be converted to a pendant with the addition of a 9ct Gold eyelet and jump ring, should you wish, just choose the pendant option from the 'buy it as' options.
This lovely piece has been carefully cleaned and is now in good condition ready to fly off to a new home.
