A stunning Victorian Saint Esprit dove decorated with more than a hundred lovely turquoise cabochon gemstones, and cabochon garnet eyes. There is a further tiny faceted garnet set into the gold drop heart.
The gemstones are set into silver and the engraved back is washed with Gold, with a gold drop heart and jump ring ready to go on a chain. The feathers are beautifully engraved on the back, and the whole of the 3D head is turquoise set.
The Saint Esprit is a religious symbol and represents the Holy Spirit. They were popular in France and England in the 18th and 19th Centuries.
This is in lovely antique condition with just some signs of minor wear as shown in the photos.
