Antique Edwardian peridot and amethyst drop earrings 9 carat gold
Era: Early 20th century, post Edwardian
Metal: 9 carat gold
Gemstones: peridot 3.5mm, amethyst 7x4.5mm each earring
Drop: 21mm
Weight: 1.7g
What a sweet pair of drops, dating to the early 20th century, they feature a peridot in an open back claw setting at the top of each earring, with a post and butterfly back fitting. Below this is a bar and pear shaped amethyst drop, with eyelets to allow them to swing.
In very good condition, there is some minor surface wear to the gemstones seen with a 10x loupe, such as softening of facets on the peridot and a little fleabite on one amethyst.
They are not a 'set', but the pendant shown in the last photo does pair wonderfully with the earrings!
