A superb spider, taken from an early 20th century bar brooch. The legs are mid crawl and it is crafted substantially from 15 carat gold.
The Sapphire is a deep saturated blue, the legs close off the back from behind the sapphire adding to the depth of colour. There is very minor wear to the table facet edges seen with a 10x loupe and one small scratch.
The opal displays mostly electric green threads and blue flashes as it turns, there is a dark patch to the left side and some minor surface wear seen with a loupe.
This is a good size pendant that doesn't disappoint, unless you maybe don't like spiders!
