Antique Victorian ruby and diamond horseshoe necklace 9 carat gold

A buttery yellow, Victorian horseshoe pendant, set with 7 alternating ruby and diamonds for luck, hung from a 9 carat gold fine chain.
 
It features a hidden bail created from the original screw fixing at the reverse, most likely converted in antiquity from a large pin. 
 
It is in excellent antique condition, I have no notes! The small jump rings at either end of the chain are base metal.
