Antique Victorian ruby diamond natural pearl stickpin French 18 carat gold

Gemstones: Rubies x three- 1.8mm, rose cut diamonds x three-1mm. Natural pearl 4.5mm

A lovely Victorian ruby, pearl and diamond set stickpin in the shape of a flower. These snake theme pieces were very popular during Queen Victorias reign, signifying eternal love.
 
The faceted claw set rubies are a lovely soft deep pinky red in colour, and the natural pearl has a beautiful lustre. The diamonds are set into fleur de lys shapes. So much detail in such a small piece!
The pin also comes with a lovely tooled leather box, with a cream silk and red velvet lining.
 
The condition of the stickpin is very good antique, with just minor age related wear as seen in the photos. It could be converted to a pendant or possibly a ring if so desired.
