A wonderful later Georgian, regency period, half hoop pearl ring. The 7 pearls are held in a cut down collet setting, typical of the period and closed back. The shank has beautiful foliate, repousse shoulders.
The ring is quite substantial and the pearls look all original to me! They still have a very good lustre, and have silver white tones with some variation in colour, as seen with natural pearls.
There is a small evidence to the reverse of the shank, that the ring has previously been sized. We could have this tidied up should you wish, but I don't feel it detracts from the ring as is. There is also a very small area on one shoulder where the repousse has been pierced, but it is very hard to notice. Overall the condition is excellent considering its age. Please note this ring should be worn with care and not get wet!
