Antique Georgian chalcedony floral cannetille pendant 9 carat gold
Era: Georgian C.1820
Metal: 9 carat yellow and rose gold
Gemstone: Chalcedony 21x10mm teardrop
Weight: 5g
Size: 52x16mm inc. bail
An intricately detailed, late Georgian era pendant. Set with a sea foam toned chalcedony cabochon at its centre. This is then further detailed with gold cannetille work, granulation details all around the setting and delicate floral and foliate designs.
The gemstone is held in a domed, closed back setting and is in excellent condition, not showing any wear to the surface. There are some light patches of greyish toned inclusions on the right side as you look at the stone.
The bail is marked 9.375 and is likely a repurposed jump ring from an albert chain, this pendant may have originally been part of a much larger suite.
