What a superb Victorian snake ring! Not only is the condition excellent, with the engraving and snake detailing crisp and fresh; the central bloodstone panel is also an opening locket. Swoon! The gold has a lovely pale yellow tone.
 
A snake climbs up each shoulder and they wind around the central panel, finishing with cute boggle eyed faces.
 
The bloodstone is in good antique condition, with some minor age appropriate surface wear. The locket panel opens and closes nicely but there is a little play when it is shut. However it holds and does not swing open.
 
It is closed back and very comfortable on the hand. Find me another like this, I will be forever envious of its new owner!
