Quite simply, superb. If you like opals, antique pieces don't really get better than this! It can be worn and styled in 3 different ways, as a full necklace with the drop pendant attached, just the half riviere style necklace without the drop (looks amazing stacked with gold chains), or just the pendant which comes with a removable split ring bail, to be worn separately on any chain.
The natural opals are top quality, with an intense play of colour and show little to no signs of wear for the age of the piece. The green garnets are vivid and add a stunning accent to the opals, again in great condition with only minor surface wear. All of the gemstones are held in 15ct gold cut down collet settings, with open backs and it is on a cable link chain, closing with a small bolt ring.
