A gorgeous oval shaped Victorian 15 carat yellow gold opening picture locket. This is beautifully decorated with an engraved ivy leaf design to the front, and a foliate design with a blank cartouche ready for initials to the back. The engraving is beautifully done and extends right over the edges of the locket.
 
The oval shape is just perfect to hold two pictures of loved ones, or maybe a lock of hair. There are the original retainers, clear covers and fabric in the locket. The locket is a good size and measures 30mm x 24mm, a depth of 7mm with a total drop of 39mm including the ring. The locket weighs 8.1 grams and is in excellent condition, closing well with a good click.
