An eye catching ring, with a design that conveys a mix of eras. We believe its origins hail from the Victorian period, with a later add Emerald, likely of brazilian origin. It is held in a bezel setting with a fine milgrain edge, leading me to believe this was added C.1910-1930.
The Emerald is in very good antique condition, with just very minor surface wear that can be seen on inspection with a loupe. It is a wonderful and vibrant saturated green with some blue tones and with some jardin inclusions. It is held in a closed back setting.
It has a split shoulder shank, with a closed back six section rectangle face and there is a part inscription to the back of the head, though I cannot decipher it.
